Corporate Social Responsibility

Our volunteering program aligns to our core value of giving back to the community and it stimulates generosity and giving.

As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility we’re excited to announce our SMEx Corporate Volunteer Program.

Partnering with the Pledge 1%, we will give 1% of our worked time annually to help those in need, this means that our employees will give 1 day per quarter to volunteer for a good cause.

What is the Pledge 1%?

Pledge 1% is a global movement to create a new normal in which giving back is integrated into the DNA of companies of all sizes. They encourage and challenge individuals and companies to Pledge 1% of equity, profit, product, and/or employee time for their communities.

Since December 2014, Pledge 1% is spearheaded by Salesforce, Atlassian, Rally, and Tides.

SMEx Digital is the newest member of the Pledge 1% Community!

The projects we support!

Foodbank is Australia’s largest food relief organisation, providing more than 70% of the food rescued for food relief organisations nation-wide.

To distribute the food, their state teams work with an army of volunteers to pick, pack and get the food to where it’s needed. They work closely with 2,600 charity partners and 2,000 schools across Australia who use their food in relief programs.

How will we help?

Our team members will take on light duties that vary depending on daily requirements. This may include breaking down, pallet deliveries, repacking fresh produce, sorting mixed food donations, or labeling donated products, all this to ensure Food bank disseminates food and grocery products as far and wide as possible.
